Our Operations

 Operational reliability, development certainty

Management of own operations and maintenance

TBG is the first national gas transport company with its own operational management system and gas pipeline maintenance structure.

We transport up to 30 million cubic meters per day of Brazilian and Bolivian natural gas along the 2,593 km of our gas pipeline, which passes through the states of Mato Grosso do Sul, São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul.

The supervision and control of our gas pipeline is performed remotely, by satellite, without interruption, using the Scada System. In 2020, due to the Coronavirus, we took the unprecedented step of having our controllers operate and supervise the pipeline entirely from their home office.

Our operations, as a whole, also involve activities in the field and at our facilities.

The TBG Gas Pipeline

Made up of welded steel pipes, our gas pipeline is buried in the ground at an average depth of one meter, within a 20-meter wide strip of land, duly demarcated and signposted, known as the right-of-way strip.

The gas pipeline transports large volumes of natural gas, operating at high pressure. When approaching a city, that pressure is reduced, so the gas can be delivered to Local Distribution Companies (LDC) and tariff-free consumers through our Delivery Points. This format comprises an integrated gas transportation system.
