As of June 1st, TBG began to offer interruptible natural gas transport services to the market. The products are available on the Capacity Booking Portal (POC) (www.ofertadecapacidade.com.br) and provide for contracts expiring on December 31, with independent daily entry and exit nominations.

The offer of Interruptible transport services, which will be available at all City Gates and Exit Zones along the TBG Pipeline, and will take place in the idle capacity present in firm capacity contracts. In this case, the new type of service may be interrupted by the carrier due to the priority assigned to the schedule established for firm transport services.

In Interruptible contracts, there is no capacity charge (ship or pay), that is, whoever buys the services pays only for what they use. As with Short-Term Products, it will also be possible to contract via the credit limit approved by TBG and the nomination of Interruptible quantities will be carried out by point and up to the limit of the daily contracted quantity. The order of preference for allocation, in case of restriction of idle capacity at a given City Gate or Exit Zone, will be given by a Request Order.

Another differential is that the transport tariff applied to Interruptible Products will be established according to the probability of service interruption. The greater the probability of interruption, the lower the tariff.

With these new products, TBG once again offers greater flexibility to the market and provides agents with conditions to minimize their costs and optimize their results. These are products aimed at customers who need additional capacity in strictly punctual periods, including thermal plants and players with seasonal demands, or with the impossibility of medium-term programming.

The contracting of Interruptible Products must be done through the POC (ofertadecapacidade.com.br), which, since August 2021, has become the first Multicarrier Platform in the country.
