TBG holds a safety simulation drill in Santa Catarina

 TBG carried out a Security Exercise in Brusque (SC), in the Limeira neighborhood, kilometer (Km) 702+330-S, of the gas pipeline right-of-way, on December 7th, from 8am to 11am.

In addition to the company’s teams, the training exercise included the participation of public agents, including: Fire Department, Military Police, Civil Defense, Municipal Guard, Santa Catarina Power Plants (Celesc), Municipal Autonomous Water and Sewage Service. Brusque (SAMAE), City Hall and Public Works Department in Brusque.

The objective of the simulation was to test the level of performance of TBG teams working together with public agencies during incidents that may occur in the right-of-way of the Bolivia-Brazil Gas Pipeline. The focus was on promoting the safety of the local population and maintaining operational normality. of its activities.

On December 6th, the day before the drill, TBG teams visited nearby communities to provide information and general guidance on the safety exercise, as well as distributing a wide range of information materials such as: "Evasion Folder", "You and the Right-of-Way" and "Guide to Living with the Gas Pipeline". On this same day, the "Linha do Gás" (Gas Line Hotline) service, an exclusive channel of communication with TBG, was also publicized, providing a 24-hour communication channel with TBG, by dialing: 0800-026-0400.

 

How was the security exercise carried out?

The safety exercise simulated an incident scenario, which mobilized the TBG technical team, carrying out an assessment of the conditions of the incident in order to begin possible repairs. The work was then carried out, restoring the normal operating conditions of the gas pipeline.
  According to TBG SMS Management policies, the safety exercise served to simulate adverse conditions as close as possible to reality, to later analyze the evaluation of the simulation, including the response time and execution of the control measures provided for in the Plan executed by the TBG Emergency Response Team.

By carrying out this simulation, in accordance with the principles of company safety, environment and health procedures that orient the company’s actions, TBG maintains its commitment to society to care for, defend and protect people's lives and guarantee the normality of its operations while contributing to the normal life of the gas market and, at the same time, promote economic development in Brazil.
