At 9:00 a.m. on April 23, 2024, TBG conducted the pioneering gasification of the Garuva Entry Point by pressurizing this installation through the valve connected to the gas pipeline.

This marks the first gas supply from a liquefied natural gas (LNG) regasification ship directly to TBG. From now on, the company has three gas entry points: the first from Bolivia in Corumbá/MS, the second from NTS in connection with the Southeast network in Paulínia/SP, and the third from the New Fortress Energy pipeline in Garuva/SC, expanding the gas supply options for the Brazilian network.

During this operation, the Garuva Entry Point was gradually pressurized in 15 kgf/cm² pressure intervals until reaching the maximum limit of 75 kgf/cm². All operational tests were conducted with the Supervision and Control Center in Rio de Janeiro.

Upon completion of the gasification procedure, supply through the New Fortress Energy pipeline was initiated, connecting Gasbol to Babitonga Bay/SC, where the LNG regasification ship is docked. During this stage of the operation, operational tests were conducted on the main equipment of both the New Fortress Energy delivery installation and the TBG Entry Point installation.

This connection with New Fortress Energy has a daily receiving capacity of up to 15 million cubic meters of natural gas for TBG through the Garuva Entry Point, representing another important access point for transportation contracting in Gasbol and the expansion of network flexibility sources for the national gas pipeline network.
