Developed in partnership by Nova Transportadora do Sudeste (NTS), Transportadora Associada de Gás (TAG), and Transportadora Brasileira Gasoduto Bolívia-Brasil S.A. (TBG), the Electronic Gas Platform (PEG) has evolved and now has a new version, revolutionizing the natural gas purchase and sale processes for transporters and offering a secure, efficient, and transparent digital environment. The new tool is expected to go live by the end of July.

PEG is an innovative digital solution that will allow the submission of commercial proposals, including prices, details, and delivery and/or pickup methods. It operates through competitive processes, in which companies will compete for natural gas purchase or sale offers, with a transporter as the mandatory counterparty.

Agents will have access to information provided on the platform's process history, available demands, and current contractual conditions. This will simplify and streamline the natural gas procurement process, reducing transaction time and costs.
Furthermore, the platform uses encryption and other measures to protect user information and ensure the confidentiality of transactions.

The publication of gas purchase and sale requirements on the Platform will be restricted to carriers. Companies interested in trading on the PEG must be POC users and have approved PEG authorization, in addition to the Master Gas Purchase and Sale Agreement signed with each carrier involved in the bidding process. The purchase or sale of natural gas in PEG processes involving a carrier as a counterparty is exempt from transportation fees.

The new Electronic Gas Platform was created to optimize natural gas purchase and sale transactions for the carrier's operational purposes, as permitted by current regulations.
