The event was organized by the Brazilian Metrology Society (SBM) and its Flow Measurement Working Group. It brought together experts, leading institutions and energy sector representatives to discuss advances, challenges and trends in measurement applied to natural gas transportation in Brazil.

During the technical activities, TBG was represented by Júlio Cesar Costa de Mello Palhares, operational measurement consultant, who delivered a presentation titled “Practices in the New Context of Entry and Exit Points,” addressing recent regulatory developments, their impacts on the operation of the Bolivia–Brazil Gas Pipeline and the importance of metrological accuracy to ensure reliability and efficiency in the transportation system.

The company was also represented by professionals from the Operations, Maintenance and Engineering areas, demonstrating TBG’s technical engagement in discussions on metrology applied to the natural gas sector. The participants were Sérgio Lacerda, Stella Hasselmann, Júlio Palhares and Luiz Guilherme Figueiredo from Operations; Luiz Fernando Rosa, Diego Yamazaki Rosa, Marco Antônio Oliveira, Julian Zanella, Raonni Silva Pinto and Júlio Mantoani from Maintenance; and Nancy Flora from Engineering.

This multidisciplinary presence reflects TBG’s commitment to innovation, operational excellence and the continuous adoption of advanced measurement practices, which are essential for the sustainable development of the natural gas sector in Brazil.
