TBG participates in Rio Pipeline with an innovative booth and strategic communication actions, in the presence of international officials
The Bolivia-Brazil gas pipeline operator, TBG, strengthened its presence at Rio Pipeline 2025 with a modern, interactive and inclusive booth that reflected not only its leadership in the natural gas sector but also the strength of its institutional communication efforts. Strategically designed to promote closer ties with technical, institutional, regulatory and commercial audiences, the space stood out for its diversity of experiences, high-level content and seamless execution.
The entire design, curation and programming of the booth were coordinated by TBG’s Communication Department, which worked in an integrated manner, from visual and functional planning to press relations, social media coverage and the production of institutional materials.
Communication highlight: Press, social media and content production
TBG’s social media channels received special coverage, with real-time multimedia content production, exclusive interviews, highlights from the panels, and behind-the-scenes footage of the event. This coverage ensured broad digital reach, audience engagement and reinforcement of the company’s institutional image.
At the same time, bilingual institutional materials were produced and distributed, such as a marketing brochure in Portuguese and English, as well as leaflets on environmental sustainability. The company also launched “TBG Cast,” its official podcast, and highlighted its Purchasing Portal, demonstrating its commitment to transparency and stakeholder relations.
TBG’s press office was also one of the highlights of the event. The team arranged for three strategic interviews for CEO Jorge Hijjar with specialized media outlets in the sector: Eixos, Brasil Energia, and the Brazilian Oil and Gas Institute. These meetings strengthened the company’s position as a technical leader and manager of one of Brazil’s most important energy infrastructure assets.
A modern and inclusive booth focused on visitors’ experience
The TBG booth served as a hub for technological experience, interactivity and accessibility. Designed with a focus on innovation and inclusion, it offered a series of features and attractions that delighted visitors:
Inclusion and accessibility: Presence of a sign language interpreter during key moments, access ramp for wheelchair users and accessible visual communication;
Innovation and interactivity: Demonstrations of the SCADA, POC and PTG systems, simulating real transportation network operations; augmented reality glasses for immersion in the Bolivia-Brazil Gas Pipeline; interactive photos sent directly to visitors’ phones; and an impressive Instagram-worthy panel with high-resolution LED corner, one of the visual highlights of the trade show;
High-quality technical content: Live broadcast of 13 thematic panels, with debates and presentations conducted by TBG experts and guests. All the content was recorded, with photographic and video coverage provided by a specialized team;
Networking spaces: Meeting room reserved for strategic meetings, bilingual receptionists, buffet service, gourmet coffee, popcorn, craft beer and a relaxed happy hour space with a live DJ and light show, creating an environment for networking and connecting with clients, partners and stakeholders;
Media center: Infrastructure dedicated to supporting journalists, influencers and press partners, with technical and institutional support, as well as professionals available for interviews, briefings and content support.

The TBG booth’s schedule of activities during Rio Pipeline 2025 included technical panels and high-level debates, bringing together company experts and renowned guests. Over the course of the three-day event, participants were able to attend sessions on topics crucial to the natural gas sector.
The first day, Tuesday, September 9, began with a panel called “Health, Safety and the Environment at TBG,” presented by Ruy Sarno, the company’s environment coordinator. He addressed TBG’s actions and challenges regarding health, safety and environmental management. Next, procurement manager Gleyce Lopes and purchasing coordinator Syone Figueiredo led a panel titled “Be a TBG Supplier,” discussing business opportunities and the company’s supplier relations policy. After that, a panel called “Advances and Challenges in the New Gas Market,” featuring Denise Sayão, head of TBG’s Legal Department, and lawyer Ivan Londres analyzed the Brazilian gas market, addressing new challenges and regulations that are affecting the industry. To close the first day, a panel called “TBG’s 28-Year Track Record,” presented by project manager Nelson Arthur Pinto Lemgruber, reflected on TBG’s 28-year history and the milestones that have made the company a leader in the sector.
The second day, Wednesday, September 10, began with a panel titled “Collaboration at TBG and International Experience in Gas Transportation,” with Sébastien Lahouste, CEO of Fluxys Brasil, and Jorge Hijjar, CEO of TBG. The moderator was Denise Sayão, head of TBG’s Legal Department. This panel addressed global experiences in gas transportation and international collaboration in the sector. Next, Cecília Mendes, TBG’s commercial manager, and Thiago Arakaki, Galp’s natural gas and electricity director, discussed new commercial solutions and opportunities arising from the evolution of the gas market in a panel called “Commercial Operations in the New Gas Market: Challenges and Solutions.” After that, a panel titled “Challenges of TBG’s Second Regulatory Cycle,” featuring TBG regulation manager Robson Coelho, TBG strategy manager Tatiana Perrone and YPFB Transporte planning manager Oscar Salazar Durán, deepened the discussion on regulatory changes and the tariff review’s impact on the company. The second day’s schedule continued with a panel called “Argentine Gas Imports,” led by TBG new business manager Rafael Perrone, consultant Rafael Zonis, and Luciano Giorgis, head of commercial management at TGN, who analyzed the logistics of importing gas from Argentina and its effects on the Brazilian market. The last panel on Wednesday was called “TBG’s Leading Role, Vocation, Brand and People,” featuring career and development coordinator Danielle de Paiva Pietroluongo. She highlighted TBG’s identity, corporate values and the fundamental role of its team in building the company’s history.
The third and final day of the event, Thursday, September 11, began with a panel called “TBG’s Integrity Management Program: Optimizing Response Time for Mitigation and Prevention Measures, Improving Safety, Reliability and Efficiency in Asset Protection.” It was presented by asset integrity manager Vicente Thiago, who discussed best practices in TBG’s asset integrity and safety management. Next, consultant Jorge Cleber led a panel titled “The Use of Artificial Intelligence in Gas Pipeline Inspection, Operation and Maintenance.” He explained how TBG applies AI to optimize its operations. After that, a panel called “The Use of Generative AI in Data and Productivity,” led by consultant Leandro Peçanha, showed how generative AI is being used to improve data analysis and increase productivity in TBG’s operations. To complete the event’s schedule, a panel called “Tariff Review and Predictability” featured TBG regulation manager Robson Coelho, TBG strategy manager Tatiana Perrone and Professor Niagara Rodrigues from Fluminense Federal University. They discussed tariff issues and tariff predictability in TBG’s second regulatory cycle
Institutional presence and shareholder support
The booth also hosted some important institutional meetings. TBG’s chief executive, Jorge Hijjar, participated in a strategic meeting with executives, partners and industry representatives. A meeting with representatives of shareholders Fluxys and YPFB reaffirmed TBG’s important role in international natural gas logistics. The booth was also visited by Belgian Consul Caroline Mouchart, who highlighted TBG’s role as a strategic link between South America and Europe through its partnership with Fluxys.
Hijjar pointed out the importance of TBG’s shareholder structure. “TBG has the great privilege of having shareholders in the same field of activity. This raises the level of analysis, debate and project escalation, ensuring maturity and a vision for the future, without a rush for profits, with a focus on objectives,” he said.
Launch of TBG Cast and new dialogue channels
During the event, TBG officially launched TBG Cast, its new audio content channel, focused on disseminating technical, institutional and market information through interviews, thematic episodes and discussions about the future of the Brazilian natural gas sector. The initiative reaffirms the company’s commitment to transparency, energy education and innovation in communication with society. The theme of the first episode was “The Purchasing and Contracting Process,” with procurement manager Gleyce Lopes and purchasing coordinator Syone Figueiredo.
TBG’s presence at Rio Pipeline 2025 went far beyond its booth. The event was a clear demonstration of alignment between business strategy, institutional communication, technological innovation and social responsibility.
