On Thursday, April 16 TBG and SCGás opened Custody Transfer Station 10, in Siderópolis, the largest facility of its kind in the state of Santa Catarina. Connected to the Bolivia-Brazil Gas Pipeline, which is operated by TBG, the new station will expand the supply of natural gas, strengthen energy security and support economic development in Brazil’s Southern region.

TBG was represented at the launch event by regulation manager Robson Coelho, maintenance manager Felipe Borgli and maintenance coordinator Élcio Paranhos, who attended the handover of the new facility. The ceremony was also attended by Governor Jorginho Mello of Santa Catarina, SCGás CEO Otmar Josef Müller, municipal officials and members of the local community.

During the event, the governor emphasized that the project is essential for the state’s economic development and energy security, by laying the groundwork to attract investment and generate jobs.

The station, which can handle up to 1.8 million cubic meters per day, establishes a new natural gas connection and delivery point, strengthening TBG’s presence and expanding its ability to meet demand from industries, businesses and households. Installed at a strategic location near one of TBG’s compression stations, the facility operates under optimal pressure and supply conditions, ensuring greater stability of supply and increased efficiency in the transportation and distribution of this energy source.

This operation represents another step forward for the company in expanding transportation infrastructure and developing the natural gas market in Brazil.
