TBG Cast features professor for discussion on socialization and female leadership in the workplace

To mark Women’s Month, TBG Cast presents a special episode on socialization and female leadership, featuring Fabiana Alves and Maria Carolina Medeiros, addressing challenges, stereotypes and the importance of more inclusive environments in the energy sector.

In celebration of Women’s Month, TBG Cast presents the episode Female Leadership: What No One Tells You About Socialization and Careers. Featuring Fabiana Alves of TBG and Professor Maria Carolina Medeiros of the FGV School of Communication, Media and Information, the program explores how social factors influence women’s professional paths, while also addressing gender stereotypes, the challenges of female leadership in the energy sector and the role of companies in promoting more inclusive environments.

The conversation also covers topics such as visible representation, women’s presence in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), and corporate responsibility in tackling violence against women.

About Professor Maria Carolina Medeiros:

Maria Carolina Medeiros has a bachelor’s degree in advertising, as well as a master’s and PhD in communication. In addition to working as a professor, she serves as an advisor to the Rio de Janeiro State Women’s Secretariat and the Nova Iguaçu Municipal Women’s Secretariat. She is the creator of the “Não te empodero” podcast, which has more than 90 episodes, and also works as a consultant, speaker and researcher, focusing on narratives about women and female socialization. Her work seeks to translate academic research into the language of organizations and everyday life, expanding the reach and impact of these discussions.
