TBG begins the 5th Round of Short Term Products
TBG begins the 5th Round of Short Term Products
As of April 5th, TBG will kick off the 5th Round of the offering of Short Term Products regarding natural gas pipeline transportation capacity, which is currently the most flexible logistics solution available in the Brazilian domestic market. The three available formats are under quarterly, monthly or daily contracts.
The fifth round of TBG's offering of Short Term Products begins with the quarterly entry and exit contracts, covering the third and fourth quarters of this year. The stages between the announcement of the available capacity and the signing of the contracts will be completed between April 5th and 9th.
From April 12th to 16th, the contracts on offer will be for firm monthly capacity, purchased for the period between May and December/2021. The daily products for the month of May will be up for contract between April 19th and 21st.
Since January, TBG has signed six short-term contracts for the provision of services in the Monthly format. All those contracts are with Petrobras and cover a total transportation capacity of more than 1.8 million cubic meters of natural gas a day.
The most recent contract was signed during the 4th Round, providing services between April 1st and 30th and covering a daily transportation capacity of 430,000 cubic meters of natural gas for the MS1 exit zone.
The previous contracts were signed in January (1st Round - MS1 and SC1, for a total of 495,000 m³/day), February (2nd Round - MS1, for 430,000 m³/day) and March (3rd Round - MS1 and SP4, for a total of 455,000 m³/day), which shows how this new model is consolidating its place in the market.
The contractual procedure is to be conducted at the Capacity Offers Portal (COP), a digital purchasing environment set up by TBG and accessed at the electronic address: ofertadecapacidade.tbg.com.br.
Interested shippers may submit requests for capacity contracts covering one or more product format, by entry point and/or exit zone, according to their interests.
In the event of an immediate need to purchase a Daily product, the COP enables interested parties to order the product just one day in advance during the current month. The product application and closing of the contract take place in the early hours of the morning and once that has been done the customer can place an order for transportation on the following day.
