TBG at Rio Innovation Week 2022
We concluded our participation in Rio Innovation Week 2022, the largest technology and innovation event in Latin America, which took place at Píer Mauá, in Rio de Janeiro, between November 8th and 11th, with the feeling of mission accomplished. There were two intense days of face-to-face marathon events for five groups that presented their projects in the first TBG Hackathon, which ended with awards presented to the first three best projects.
The initial proposal for the Hackathon was to present innovative solutions projects and digitization technologies with reduced costs and time for the implementation of natural gas transport pipelines. The groups went even further; the five projects presented disruptive, organized works that also expressed great concern for environmental concepts.
The winning project submitted a financial proposal. The group's solution provides for the use of asset tokenization mechanisms to capture project financing. The advantages demonstrated in the project lies in the forecast of savings, the issuance of bonds and a reduction in the cost of raising funds compared to private alternatives and other possible developments such as tax exemptions for investors and new green seal projects. The symbolic check was delivered by TBG CEO, Cynthia Silveira, in the amount of BRL 20,000.00 to be divided among the participants of the group: Emmanuele Nunes, Leonardo Alves da Silveira, Rodrigo Scomparim and Vitor Soares.
Second place was awarded to the “Building Information Modeling (BIM) implementation project at TBG for digital construction with virtual and augmented reality in the development of new projects”. The objective of applying BIM technology in TBG's projects is to reduce costs and wastes in during the work, precision in budgets and reduction of project execution time. The prize awarded; R$ 10 thousand was delivered by the TBG Director of Maintenance and Operation, Marcelo Saavedra. The group includes: Thiago Zozula, Luis Gustavo Fagundes, Izis Reis and Fábio Da Roz.
Third place went to the group that presented a project entitled “Aprova Aí”; a collaborative platform for monitoring projects. The third prize of R$ 5 thousand was delivered by TBG Commercial Director, Jorge Hijjar, to group members: Carlos Eduardo, Fabíola Vasconcelos, Elenilson Oliveira, Matheus Carvalho and Jhennifer.

TBG specialists at Rio Innovation Week also participated in panel discussions promoted by the "Sai do Papel" organization, on Disruptive Technologies and Digital Transformation. TBG Information Technology and Telecommunications management consultant, Jorge Cleber was also present together with Victor Venâncio, from Stefanini, Ana Cláudia Rodrigues, from Furnas, and Fernando Pereira, from Nvidia.
The debate generated a broad exchange of experiences among the speakers, with a view to expanding investments in digital transformation; and promoted a total connection with the audience that actively participated in the panel.
