TBG announces Short-Term Product Offers starting in March
TBG announces Short-Term Product Offers starting in March
Between February 7th and 24th, TBG will hold the 3rd Open Season Round offering natural gas transport services for Short-Term Products in 2022. Bids for acquisition will be carried out in three subsequent stages to provide entry and exit contracts, prioritizing quarterly, monthly and daily hire contracts.
In the first phase - February 7th to 11th, quarterly contracts will be made available, in terms and conditions that will be applied for the second, third and fourth quarters of this year. The offer period starts with the publication of available capacity to the final signing of the contract.
Monthly short-term contracts will be offered from the 14th to 18th of February. The acquisition of this product covers the period between March and December of this year.
Daily products, for contracts with operational periods in March, will be released between the 22nd and 24th of February.
In the event of a need for the immediate contracting of Daily products, the Capacity Offer Portal (POC) will process the enquiry only a one-day advance notice. The request and contracting of Daily products take place in the early hours of the day; after the capacity has been contracted, the transport request by the customer can be made for next-day service.
It’s worth noting that, due to the fact that Open Season 03/2021 for the firm contracting of transport capacity for the years 2022 to 2026 is still in progress, the contracts to be signed in this Public Call process will have priority over Short-Term contracts whenever there is a competing demand for a certain available capacity.
In January, TBG and Delta Geração, of the Delta Energia group, signed contracts for the first time in the domestic market, to transport short-term capacity natural gas, in the Daily modality. These were also TBG’s first short-term contracts ever signed with an agent other than Petrobras. The gas transport services made it possible to supply natural gas to the William Arjona plant, in Campo Grande (MS). The contracts were articulated through the Capacity Offer Portal (POC), which is an innovative digital environment that facilitates the contracting of TBG short-term products and services on a quarterly, monthly and daily basis. The platform can be accessed at: www.ofertadecapacidade.com.br.
TBG is the only company in Brazil that offers natural gas transportation services on a quarterly, monthly and daily basis. The new contract modalities and other initiatives were designed to contribute to the opening of the market, to meet any market demands made by its players.
Since August 2021, the POC has become the first Multi-Transporter Platform in the country, which allows the acquisition not only of TBG products and services, but also of other gas carriers operating in Brazil.
