TBG is second-largest sponsor of Rouanet Midwest Program
TBG will contribute R$6 million to cultural projects during the 2027–2028 period. This is the first time the company has participated in a Rouanet Law call for proposals, reinforcing its commitment to social development and the appreciation of cultural diversity in the regions where it operates.
During the program’s launch, Fabíola Matos, representing TBG’s social responsibility leadership, highlighted the importance of the initiative and the company’s connection with the communities impacted by its operations. “TBG is an energy company that believes there can be no impact without collaboration. We are allocating R$6 million because we understand that investing in culture means investing in value, identity and continuity,” she said.
The culture minister, Margareth Menezes, emphasized the importance of decentralizing cultural investments and partnering with sponsoring companies. “This is a very special moment for the Culture Ministry and the federal government. We are fulfilling our mission of ensuring that opportunities for Brazil’s cultural sector reach every part of the country. Now it is the Midwest region’s turn,” she said.
The minister also highlighted the role of companies in supporting culture. “I hope TBG recognizes how important this investment in culture is, because every time a company sponsors a cultural initiative, it is supporting the community as a whole, and that is positive in every respect,” Menezes said.
The Rouanet Midwest Program aims to democratize access to resources available under the Rouanet Law, expanding opportunities for artists, producers and cultural institutions in the Midwest region while strengthening the creative economy.
In addition to TBG, the program’s sponsors include Banco do Brasil, Caixa Econômica Federal, Petrobras and Transpetro.
