Last weekend, Petrobras purchased the extra natural gas transport capacity offered by TBG for 2022. Altogether, more than 19.7 million m³/day of input capacity and 17.7 million m³/day (output capacity) were allocated to the state-owned company.

The contract is the result of the process created to offer additional natural gas transport capacity launched by TBG in early December, replacing Public Call 03 (CP03/21), which is now scheduled to take place in the first half of next 2022.

The transport capacity contracted by the state-owned company will be made available at city entry gates in the transport system located in the states of Mato Grosso do Sul – at the measurement station (EMED) in Corumbá (14 million m³/day); and São Paulo – at EMED Gascar, in Campinas (more than 5.7 million m³/day).

As for the capacity at the exit gates, the following result was obtained: São Paulo – in the exit gates SP1 (925 thousand m³/day), SP2 (11.9 million m³/day) and SP4 (950 thousand m³/day ); Santa Catarina – in Exit Gates SC1 (1.3 million m³/day) and SC2 (826 thousand m³/day); and Rio Grande do Sul - in the RS1 Exit Gate (1.7 million m³/day).

By December 30th, the pre-stages of presenting contract guarantees and the actual celebration of the contracts will be concluded, as per procedural rules.

It is worth noting that the Contracting of the Annual Extra Product for 2022 has a resolutive condition, which guarantees its effectiveness until Public Call CP03/21 is launched, to be soon announced to the market in the near future. When this occurs, there will be no overlap in the validity of extra gas carrier transport contracts related to the Annual Product with those that will be signed via CP03/21 for the period 2022 to 2026.
