TBG closes its first contracts for Short-Term Products

The TBG has signed two contracts for Short-Term Products with Petrobras to provide transportation services during the month of January 2021. Both contracts, which together provide for the daily transportation of 495,000 cubic meters of natural gas, are in the Extraordinary format.

The contracts specify the transportation of natural gas to the exit zones MS1 (in Mato Grosso do Sul state) and SC1 (in Santa Catarina state).

The TBG’s Short-Term Products are a pioneering business model in Brazil, aimed at meeting market expectations by enabling the transportation of natural gas under daily, monthly or quarterly contracts.

Since September 2020, interested parties have been acquiring these and other TBG products and services through the Capacity Offers Portal (COP, at ofertadecapacidade.tbg.com.br), a digital environment for the selling of products and services developed by the company that facilitates the engaging of transportation services, just like an e-commerce environment, with notable ease, agility and convenience.

The offering of Short-Term Products is ongoing and will remain accessible throughout the 2021 timetable, using the COP, which will enable market agents to purchase any of the TBG’s products.

Another five companies are considering signing up for Short-Term Products.
